Caregiver Of The Month: Comfort | Euro-American Connections & Homecare

Our honoree, Comfort, immigrated from Ghana with the help of her family, who had no doubt that she would find a calling as a caregiver in the United States. There, she took care of her grandmother and managed her own store, and eventually, as she transitioned to life in the United States, began working with the disabled and children in her community, leading her to develop a rich, rewarding and multifaceted caregiver background.

Her family, including daughter Abigail, were inspired to help her find a career path that would be an extension of her passion, caring for others, and eventually, Comfort joined our team of caregivers here at Euro-American Connections & Homecare in 2015. Here are some things we love about her:

Clients immediately fall in love with Comfort, her infectious smile, and the way she can truly light up a room. One of her favorite parts about the job is making unique memories with her client’s families. One client’s daughter in fact, would invite her father and Comfort to Sunday Brunch each weekend because they considered Comfort a part of the family. Whenever she has a chance, Comfort will text or keep in touch with the clients’ families.

Each of Comfort’s clients and own family agree that caregiving is in her blood, and that no one can beat her Ghananian cooking. Her most famous dish is traditional jollof rice, a one-pot rice dish made with tomatoes and spices.

One of the most memorable things about Comfort is that she doesn’t like to be idle, and is constantly striving to learn more about how to care for clients with various conditions by watching YouTube videos, and reading various articles online with her family that have beautifully supported her career and growth since she moved to the United States.

This holiday season, we wish you all the best Comfort, and thank you for your service and dedication to your passion for caregiving!
