Your March Caregiver Game Plan
Happy almost spring! We hope this month finds you prepared and motivated to bring some spring to your clients’ step, but make sure that you reach out to your support team and family whenever you feel stressed, overwhelmed or anxious between assignments.
Ultimately, the more positive energy you send out to the ones that care for you, the better prepared you’ll be to take on any challenge that may come your way.
Here is your caregiver game plan to power you through March!
STEP 1) Make a list of friends and family that you can count on for anything. It can include former clients and even some of your client’s family members that you bonded with over the years. These should be your cheerleaders – your support team!
STEP 2) Try reaching out a few people on your support team that may live far away from you, or who you haven’t heard from in a while. Call, email, Facebook message – whatever you prefer!
STEP 3) Arrange to meet with them for coffee, a Skype call or a good-old gossip session at your favorite restaurant. We’re firm believers that food brings people closer together.
Step 4) Grant yourself the peace of mind that there are so many people out there that love you, and care about your well-being as both a person and a caregiver.
Step 5) Last but not least, don’t forget the staff at your agency. We live for caring for our caregivers.
