Heatwaves are a potentially deadly problem, and they’re only becoming more common. According to the CDC, each year around 618 Americans dies from extreme temperatures, most of them elderly people.
Fortunately, there are simple ways of protecting our aging loved ones from heat-related illnesses. To protect seniors from the unrelenting summer heat caregivers need to keep an eye out for signs of heat exhaustion, which can lead to heatstroke. Making sure to do everything in their power to keep seniors cool and hydrated at all times.
