Foods That Will Keep Seniors Hydrated

For many, summer months bring to mind picnics, cool drinks on the porch, and trips to the beach. But, as the temperature goes up, outside activities can increase the risk of dehydration. Not getting enough fluids, especially when it is hot outside, can pose serious health problems for anyone, but older adults are at particular risk for dehydration.
Drinking plenty of fluids and eating foods with high water content is a great way to keep our bodies properly hydrated in warmer weather. While water is the go-to for most people, keep in mind that beverages are not the only source of fluids. Raw fruits and vegetables can be a source of fluids as well. This is why we put together a list of some fruits and vegetables that contain a high percentage of water, that not only are very yummy and nutritional but could also help avoid dehydration
