The FDA has officially given the green light to the Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine, making it the 3rd vaccine to be available in the US. The J&J vaccine is the first vaccine to show efficacy given as a single dose.

*It is important to notice that earlier trials by Pfizer and Moderna didn’t include virus variants. For many clinicians, the Johnson & Johnson vaccine performs best in what are the most important cases: severe illness that otherwise could lead to hospitalization or even death.
