CT COVID-19 Vaccine: Phases and eligibility

Now that there are authorized and recommended COVID-19 vaccines in the United States, accurate vaccine information is critical. There are several different types of vaccines in development. All of them teach our immune systems how to recognize and fight the virus that causes COVID-19. Sometimes this process can cause symptoms, such as fever. These symptoms are normal and are a sign that the body is building protection against the virus that causes COVID-19.
The state of Connecticut is currently in Phase 1b of the statewide rollout plan. This means that now individuals over the age of 75 are eligible to take the vaccine as well as members of Long Term Living facilities and Healthcare workers.
