Our May Caregiver Empowerment Game Plan
We couldn’t be happier to finally welcome the beautiful spring month of May! As we jump into the new season, we put together an updated roadmap for our caregivers to help them take their career and life by the reigns.
What better time to set new goals than springtime!
Dedicate each day to getting over that one hurdle, that one thing you struggle with or avoid doing on a daily basis. For example, if the idea of opening the mail and paying your bills brings up your stress levels, practice deep breathing techniques before doing it. Repeat to yourself that you got this and that the sooner you tackle this unpleasant task, the sooner you’ll have time to do something you truly enjoy.
Pay more attention to your diet
Often times, we tend to fall into the habit of buying the same old groceries and don’t allow ourselves time to experiment with fresh, new recipes, and ideas. Or, we tend to eat out too often or take advantage of fast-food restaurants on the road to work. This month, be sure to map out exactly what you plan on eating each week by prepping your meals per week. Prep for summer
Chances are you have at least one fun activity or weekend planned that you can look forward to this summer. If not, make sure to think ahead and get your friends and family in on the action. Why not offer to spend a weekend with your friend at their family’s beach house? What about the 4th of July weekend?
Dedicate 1 hour a day to yourself
Yes, by this we mean, be selfish and put yourself first!
