The key to working out effectively but safely is “low impact”. The trainers behind HASfit are experts in this space, and even create senior workout videos for pregnant women. Check out their series of videos on their YouTube channel below, many of which are under 30 minutes.

Jane Fonda

There are few fitness legends out there that can compete with Jane Fonda, an award-winning actress and activist that truly paved the way for at-home fitness. Chances are you and your client are familiar with her videos from the past, but now, you can catch a majority of them online, and some, like the one below, are perfect for older adults!

Silver Sneakers

An amazing program designed for older Americans and seniors, Silver Sneakers is a senior workout program that includes gym membership at that can be covered by many health plans. Think of it as a “Class Pass” membership for seniors. If you and your client suffer from lower back pain, this is an amazing video that incorporates common yoga moves to help treat it. Be sure to look at their other videos when you have a chance!

Getting cardio into your senior workout routine is critical, and can do wonders as it pumps plenty of oxygen into your bloodstream and can protect the brain. This video is amazing for caregivers and seniors that are interested in exploring group fitness classes, such as Zumba. It incorporates weights, dance moves, and stretch-sessions.
