Rolling Out the Red Carpet: Euro-American’s 8th Annual Caregiver Appreciation Dinner

This past week, our team had the pleasure of hosting our dazzling, 8th Annual Caregiver Appreciation dinner! The theme this year? Hollywood!

Our team prides itself on bringing joy back into our clients’ lives, while equally celebrating the real stars, our caregivers, who make it all happen!

The goal was to make the event enjoyable for our hardworking employees, whose unique personalities, talents and innate sense of care bring smiles to our clients’ faces each and every day. These virtues are what inspired owner and founder Maggie Drag to create trusting, long- lasting relationships between the agency and their clients from the very beginning.

“I started this company with a wish that people wouldn’t have to leave their home in order to receive the care they need. But today, it is so much more than a wish. It is a reality you help create on daily basis,” says Drag.

One of the most impactful moments of the night were when Maggie read aloud letters from clients thanking our stars. One client wrote,

“You do so many things for others not because you have to, but because you want to, and that’s what makes them even more special.” Another wrote:

“My dad went from being an extremely frail and unsure footed man to a healthy and fairly steady man. We owe so much of my dad’s rehabilitation to the superb care.”

Those are just a few heartwarming reminders of the difference caregivers make in the life of others. Yet, as Maggie noted, unfortunately, caregivers do not always get a thank you and are greeted with open arms.

“Self-love and self-care are essential to be able to deal with daily challenges and perform to the best ability. Knowing when to ask for help and requesting time off to re-energize can go a long way. ”

We’d like to thank our caregivers from the bottom of our hearts. The party’s theme may have been Hollywood, but you are the real stars.
