Fourth of July Fun with Your Client!

Fourth of July holiday is a time for fireworks, barbeques and of course, quality family time and celebration! If you are planning on spending some time with your client or loved one this weekend, check out our list of ideas for what you can plan to do together!

Fireworks

One of the most beautiful and most iconic Fourth of July traditions is the stunning fireworks that go on nationwide, from the smallest beachside towns to the skyline of Manhattan. If your client’s town or even your own community is planning a fireworks show on the Fourth, be sure to prepare beforehand, arrive early to get a good view, and bring folding beach chairs, water, and some snacks to make yourselves comfortable during the show.

Poolside

One of the safest ways a senior can exercise is through water aerobics, light swimming, and jogging in a pool! If warm enough, plan a day together at a local pool or even a friend’s pool and cool off! Be sure to provide your client with sunglasses and a hat as sun exposure can rise when in the water due to its reflections in the water.

Make your own Lemonade!

Summertime means there’s more time to prepare some ice-cold, refreshing drinks to stay hydrated, especially lemonade! Try planning for a real treat with your client and stock up on fresh lemons, sugar or Stevia, and ice-cold water and ice cubes. Since most lemonade mixes are full of unhealthy chemicals, try this Skinny Lemonade recipe to make the most refreshing lemonade you’ve ever had in just 10 minutes, using only three ingredients!

Fireside Fun

If there’s anything that screams “Fourth of July” more than a nice hamburger, sausage from the fire or of course, All American s’ more! Prep for a bonfire barbeque a few hours before the sun goes down and prepare a small fire or fire up your client’s grill and set up some chairs and a small table to fill with anything from hot dogs to marshmallows!

Sparkler Snapshots

You don’t have to be a kid to play with sparklers -and what’s better is that they’re inexpensive and can be found at any local grocery store or Walmart during the Fourth of July weekend! Did you know that you can literally write out a word using a sparkler and photograph it? Check out the photo below and the College Prepster’s blog on how to do it yourself with just a professional camera!

We wish you all a thrilling Fourth of July holiday and please comment below and share photos – we’d love to see all the fun you had this weekend!
